We are working with a highly respected insurance broker who are looking to set up a office within the Nottingham area. They also have a strong existing network within other parts of the country. The focus of business would be commercial insurance, across all sectors but primarily SME business dealing with clients paying premiums of between £5,000 and £50,000.

I am keen to talk to individuals with a proven record of management of a Commercial New Business Development teams or a team of Account Executives seeking a change of environment with a bigger opportunity to move forward from within the Nottingham market. You will have strong sales and team management skills from an SME Insurance Broking background and CII qualifications. You will receive first class support, management guidance and an instant market presence with insurer relationships.

Job Purpose:

You will assume overall responsibility for the performance and development of this new regional office. Working towards agreed objectives and financial targets set by the business.
A key part of your role will be to proactively generate suitable leads and promote networking opportunities within the region whilst recruiting and managing the growing team.

Main Responsibilities

Meet and exceed the regional objectives set by the business,
Identify and build relationships with key businesses across the area,
Accountability for team’s performance and income targets through forecasting, budgeting and target setting
Full accountability for team’s training needs, including analysis, coaching, training, mentoring and development
Manage key business relationships in order to gain additional leads to pass on to the team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Solid understanding of management principles and commercial insurance.
People management experience
Understanding profitability of business and commercial opportunities
Strong sales leadership and technical insurance skills
Highly motivated and capable of working across a range of business classes both on your own and within the team
Understanding profitability of new business, commissions, fees and retention.
