A specialist glass manufacturing and glazing company are currently looking for an experienced & qualified Maintenance Engineer - with electrical bias - to join their team. The role is based in Coventry, working on a four shift rotation; mornings, afternoons, nights and days. The working week totals 40 hours and the shifts are as follows:
Each shift has overlap to make a 40 hour working week and the successful candidate will be a driven individual who can monitor their own working hours and is happy to be available on an on-call basis outside of normal working hours. This role is offering a starting salary of £30,000 per annum plus shift allowance.
This company are a very successful glass and glazing manufacturing company based in Coventry and they are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
Working in a fast paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Working closely with the Chief Engineer you will be responsible for the completion of daily & weekly maintenance tasks, adopting an analytical approach to problem solving by using WCM tools, identifying root cause failures and ensuring all machinery is achieving optimum performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a vastly experienced, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer who is currently seeking a permanent opportunity. You will be able to work largely unsupervised, following all company & industry health & safety standards and be able to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across the site. You will be flexible with your working hours including being on-call and be conscious of continuous improvement techniques - implementing these into your work when possible.
The successful candidate with be an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background. You will have ideally completed an electrical apprenticeship, have experience in a manufacturing environment and be familiar with health & safety requirements. You will ideally have fitting, welding & fabrication experience and have the ability to work from mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic fault finding drawings.
