We are offering the chance to work in a prison which is being renovated and modernised and already offers innovative care for all patients, dealing with Mental Health and Substance Misuse. The work is challenging but essential to ensure future care for outpatients. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse.
-Safe care environment
-Adhere to business principles and carry out duties in accordance to prison/NOMS policies
-Ensure that agreed Prison and Trust policies and procedures are followed
-To assist in the development and maintenance of the unit as a suitable learning environment
-To participate in the induction of staff
-To assess health and social care needs and negotiate care plans with patients and staff teams
-To contribute to the effective multi-disciplinary team working within the team and the rest of the Prison
-Need to be flexible and follow needs of the health and safety trust

-Registered Practitioner (Nurse, OT, Social Worker)
-Evidence of professional development since registration
-Experience of mentoring or supervising students
-Minimum 3 years post registration
-Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
-Experience of care cordinating with CPA framework
-Experience of working in a community setting
-To conduct self in accordance with relevant code of conduct and practice for registration
-Occupational Health Clearance
-Sickness/attendance record that is acceptable to the trust
-You must have appropriate UK professional registration
-This post is subject to the Rehabilitation Of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
-A good knowledge of the criminal justice system
-Fully aware of the mental health act
-Need to have a diploma or educated to degree level
-A valid (NMC) pin
