RF/Wireless Test Engineer (Junior or Senior)

Location: North West or East Yorkshire

Package: £25,000 - £38,000, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays,

My Client is a global testing business that continues to expand its operations throughout the world. They are a high integrity business that always operates with their customers in mind. On their behalf I am looking to recruit a RF/Wireless Test Engineer to their team due to growth of their business and increase in workload.

As a Test Engineer you will be tasked with testing customer’s products to ensure they meet the safety standards required for use in specific areas.

Graduate level candidates will be considered for this position however someone with 2+ years of experience would be ideal.

Key Skills

  • To perform testing to procedures laid down in the procedures manual.
  • To familiarise themselves with test equipment functions, measurement and calibration techniques.
  • To identify the need for new measurement methods where procedures do not cover the exact nature of testing being carried out.
  • To maintain a technical logbook.
  • To record results of tests on the prescribed result sheets, to plot graphical results.
  • To prepare test reports as laid down in procedure manual.
  • To deal with client enquiries regarding work schedules and costing.
  • To ensure that commercial confidentiality is maintained.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duty as directed by the Senior Engineer or Department Manager - Radio.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (typically an engineering or science degree with some electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering content).

The ideal candidate would have a proven aptitude for the evaluation of products and experience of testing or reviewing products against ETSI radio standards.
