An expanding print and mailing distributor is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to focus on new business.

Duties will include:

*Identifying commercial opportunities
*Proactively research, target, market and approach prospect clients with the objective of selling print and mailing services
*Effectively, efficiently, professionally and profitably manage and grow (in conjunction with Account Manager) new clients gained to maximise service offer and profitability.
*Ensure compliance with legal and group policies and practices Liaise and co-ordinate with sales colleagues across the group to identify sales opportunities and progress to prospect and convert to sales.
*Ensure effective administration, recording and reporting to manager to monitor progress against sales and profit targets as well as pipeline of prospective sales.
*Maintain knowledge of competitors, current market trends and best industry practices.
*Attend industry events to gather market intelligence or to represent the business.

It is essential that you have worked in and have experience of the Print & Mailing industry, with successful track record and a current portfolio of clients. You will have excellent commercial acumen and a proven new business sales record. Excellent communication skills are a must, and the ability to build relationships.
