Due to a period of significant growth they are now looking to build their already impressive team and take the company into the next phase in their development and to ensure that they are able to continue to service their customers’ engineering needs to the highest levels.

As a Structural Engineer you will be:

• Designing a wide range of bespoke products to client specifications, quality and other industry standards
• Working alone or within a team to develop new or existing products that meet specific mechanical and technical requirements
• A point of contact to provide technical support to others within the design team and across the business (manufacturing / quality etc.)
• Preparing structural calculations based on detailed design schemes
• Providing concept and detailed designs whilst applying dynamic, mechanical, acoustic and thermo-fluid principles to customers specific requirements
• Involved in structural inspection and site survey activities
• Generating sketches with sufficient detail to be presented to the clients and end users
• Working closely with others in the design team, Chief Engineer and Design Manager to ensure projects are to the right standard, quality and on time.


In order to be considered for the Structural Engineer role it is expected that you will have:
• A degree within Structural or Civil Engineering discipline and good grades at A level mathematics and physics (or equivalent)
• Membership of IStructE
• Experience working as a Structural Engineer within a manufacturing engineering environment
• Proficiency in a recognised CAD package and have the ability to provide detailed drawings based on customer specifications
• Proficiency with Mathcad (analysis, calculations and details) and the usual suite of Microsoft Office programs (Word, excel, email etc.)
• Experience of working to structural design codes and working with structural design software
• A good understanding of structural engineering principles, the needs of CDM (Construction Design Management), machinery directives and ATEX requirements
