The Role - SENCO

My Client is looking for a SENCO to join an enthusiastic, passionate and hardworking team. This is a full-time position starting in the new academic year September 2017. Your duties in this role will include but will not be limited to overseeing the smooth running of the SEN team, ensuring all the students are receiving the best care and education. As well as making sure that each student has a detailed and tailored plan of action to allow them to achieve their full potential. You will also be responsible for the management of an assistant SENCO and will also have to ensure all the other members of staff are briefed and know how to approach every individual child's requirement. You will be required to identify the students who are not progressing at the pace they should be, and assist other member of staff to ensure that each and every student is receiving all the support need to reach their full potential. The role of a SENCO within this school is a core role, and you will be working closely with the Senior Leadership team, as well as 3rd party agencies.

This is an excellent school to work within both in terms of students and staff members. This school has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED at their last grading. Majority of the students who attend this school have either ASD or PMLD, all the members of staff at this school are dedicated not only to supporting the children academically but also supporting them emotionally, ensuring they have a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment to help them strive. This school accommodates around 130 students aged between 5 and 18 with around 115 staff members.
