National Business Development Manager - Ambient Products, up to £60,000 pa + competitive package

Your new role

As Business Development Manager you will be reporting directly into the Business Development Director, and you will play a pivotal role in the on-going development and management of existing contracts and the expansion and growth of new clients. You will work to develop and improve the company's position and achieve financial growth in line with the long-term strategic goals of the Company. Your primary function will be to prospect for new clients through networking and other means of generating interest. With this you should be able to demonstrate an extensive portfolio of successful contract negotiations with key contacts and relations within the warehousing and distribution sector. Strategic planning is key to the critical success of this role and in line with developing a pipeline of new business coming into the Company, you will be required to ensure a thorough knowledge of the industry, its competitors and the solutions and services that the Company can provide.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience within the FMCG sector will be an essential requirement for this role; ideally specialised within either the ambient products or drinks market. You will need to have a proven track record within the FMCG market, working to a National Business Development level. Therefore experienced in dealing with Senior Management, key stakeholders and client's up to and including Board level. You will have experience in the writing of proposals and tender documents, whilst working to competitive deadlines. The role will require you to be a highly confident individual who is able to represent the organisation, and build both a strong external and internal reputation. Early experience within an operational capacity could also benefit your wider understanding in this senior position.
