You will be responsible for the development of simulation models and methods for complex mechanical components and assemblies. Being a Mechanical Simulation Engineer requires an analytical approach, validating the task in hand, whilst taking into consideration external factors, legislative requirements and rules. Forming part of a team you will create simulation models to aid development, performance and reliability outcomes. The analysis and validation of results, producing test plans and presenting your findings is at the heart of this career opportunity.
You will have gained a Degree in a relevant engineering subject as a minimum, as well as:
A demonstrable career to date of mechanical simulation
The ability to develop 1D Simulations/hand calculations
Experience of creating models for linear and non-linear analysis
Experience of metallic and composite structures
Ability to develop 1D simulations/hand calculations
Familiar with 2 or more of the following software packages: ABAQUS CAE, ABAQUS for Catia, CATIA, HYPERMESH, SIMPACK, DYMOLA, SIMSCAPE (Mathlab), AVL, FE-SAFE
