Sales Operations Manager - Manchester area.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join an expanding Worldwide engineering business.

The Person

You will be a strong leader with a vast amount of management/leadership experience and skills. Ideally coming from a background of Customer Support and Operations. You MUST have experience of an ERP (SAP/Oracle).

The Company

My client Engineer & Manufacture bespoke automation machinery into the Pharmaceutical & Medical industries.

The Role

You will be managing the Sales Order Management team. My client is looking for someone from a Sales Operations / Customer Support background with customer interaction. Someone who is used to dealing with Internal & External customers.

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for developing and managing a highly responsive and customer centric team


  • Motivating & Getting the best out of the team

  • A minimum of 7 years business experience is required, preferably in a fast-paced, complex customer service environment.

  • Managing contact with customers before and after the sale

  • Pre-sale support activities include: Responding to customer inquiries, assisting with quoting, and aligning on commercial strategy with Sales and Sales Operations.

  • Post-sale support activities include: Responding to customer inquiries (returns, status, delivery, etc.), researching and collaborating with other departments to find resolution for problems related to items such as shipping or invoicing.

  • Communicating with other departments/teams within the company (UK & Overseas)

  • Dealing directly with clients and handling issues

  • Implementing processes


  • ERP Experience (Oracle, SAP, Etc…)

  • Sales Order Administration experience

  • Strong Leaderships skills

  • Degree qualified

  • Management qualification would be beneficial
