Your new company
You will be working in a Care Home situated in a scenic location within Buckinghamshire. We are working with a wonderful client who have been a provider of accommodation and care for the elderly for over 25 years and who have a proven track record for delivering excellence. They are now wishing to find Carers on a permanent basis to join a wonderful, friendly and hardworking team. Your new role The home provides residential care services to elderly people and people suffering with dementia. As a Carer you will be there to help, support and report to the Seniors and Unit Managers in order to maintain high standards of care to residents.

To achieve this you will:

  • Report both verbally and in writing on residents' general condition and wellbeing
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff
  • Assist Seniors in maintaining records and care plans on each shift
  • Make beds and use pressure aids as directed
  • Assist in the collection of specimens and samples
  • Act as a chaperone for medical and professional staff as required
  • Assist residents in maintaining their personal hygiene, dressing, getting up and going to bed
  • Report any accidents and incidents to the senior member of staff on duty
  • Be part of the team complement and help and assist with all aspects of residents' care and needs
  • Assist in the care of all residents through the delivery of individual planned care programmes
  • Promote independence and dignity of residents
  • Assist in enabling residents to live their chosen lifestyle
  • Participate in social activities directed at benefiting residents' quality of life

What you'll need to succeed -

  • Ideally you will hold an NVQ 2 or above, or working towards the qualification in Health and Social Care however those with a passion and wishing to work in Social Care are also encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience of working with older people is advantageous and a willingness to learn
  • Driven and passionate about people, with polite and effective communication with residents, colleagues and visitors
