Salary: £29,000 - £31,000
Type: 12-month Contract (maternity cover)
Part time: 22.5hrs (3 - 5 Days)

Job description and key responsibilities


This Purchasing Officer job is to provide support to the business’ purchasing process and procurement system. You will be leading improvement strategies, to steer the procurement process to be as effective as it can be. This is an incredibly varied and fast-paced role, where each day will be different and will require someone to think on their feet. You will also have a Purchasing Assistant to supervise and support so previous line management experience is desirable.

  • Continue developing and driving forward the procurement strategy and achieve value for money solutions
  • Monitor purchasing activities
  • Monitoring and managing supplier performance
  • Raising and reporting purchase orders
  • Supervise the Purchasing assistant

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Purchasing and Procurement. You will need to have experience as a Supervisor or Manager and be prepared to take on administrative and junior duties for when the Procurement Assistant is away. You must be upbeat, passionate and have a strong work ethic, as this company is vibrant and striving to succeed even further.
