This large manufacturing company with sites across the World is looking to recruit an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join their existing team. They offer excellent opportunities to develop a career with a company offering a strong commitment to their employees though training, a professional environment and an excellent benefits packageAbout The Role:Working as part of a team in a busy manufacturing environment you will be providing an electrical / mechanical service to all departments on site providing diagnostic skills, initiating improvements and undertaking preventative maintenance. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all assets and services are maintained to a standard in keeping with business targets and needs
  • Carrying out site wide pneumatic diagnostics and mechanical maintenance
  • Undertaking site service electrical/mechanical maintenance and installation duties to help maximise output and enable production schedules to be achieved
  • Using and assisting in developing a comprehensive Planned and Preventative Maintenance system, analysing the data derived from the system to improve plant efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Seeking continuous improvements in asset performance
  • Assisting with projects including conception of ideas, installation and commissioning, monitoring and maintaining
  • Staying aware of machine efficiencies to ensure that they are performing at the optimum and highlight and progress potential areas of improvement
  • Ensuring Six Sigma awareness and Lean Enterprise Management tools are utilised effectively
  • Undertaking shift working and forming part of a call out rota if required

Essential Skills & Experience:The ideal candidate will have previous electrical and mechanical engineering experience and a good knowledge of electrical installations and working knowledge of networking systems. The following are also essential:

  • Preventative and Proactive maintenance experience
  • A good working knowledge of HMI systems
  • A good knowledge of electrical installations and working knowledge of networking systems
  • 17th Edition regulations
  • Pneumatic systems fault diagnostics / modifications
  • The ability to diagnose faults to route cause
  • Experience of working to ISO standards
  • An understanding of Mechanical and Electrical drawings
  • Knowledge and experience of TQM, JIT and continuous improvement techniques
  • Knowledge, effective use and development of PPM systems
  • An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement technique

Ideally you will be Compex trained. Experience of PLC Allen Bradley/Siemens would be desirable. Experience of DSEAR would also be beneficial as would Petrochem or Finecham. You will be computer literate.The benefits:
