We are looking for a driven, innovative and organised classroom teacher to join a dedicated and successful Mathematics department. The department achieved outstanding results and in 2015 it was ranked in the top percentile in terms of value added nationally. At KS3, Westminster Academy are developing the use of technology in the classroom through using chromebooks. Our KS4 cohorts have benefitted from our forward-thinking approach towards adapting to the new GCSE curriculum. At KS5, WA offers IB Maths courses to students on its vocational and academic programmes, including the prestigious IB Higher Level Maths course. The Mathematics department prides itself in its co-operative and collegiate approach to teaching, learning and assessment and consistently delivers the best education for all our students.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and an excellent classroom practitioner who is committed to student success and development. Experience of planning and delivering GCSE lessons is essential, as the job will involve working closely with the Director of Learning, Maths to continue developing our existing provision, as well as plan for the new GCSEs for the first sitting in 2018. The willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities is also desirable. Most importantly, there is a real opportunity to contribute to a team that is making a difference.
