Electrical Maintenance Engineer role, based in Blackburn on £30,000 per annum

Your new company
A new, exciting and growing company within the manufacturing sector. They're currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer working in Blackburn.

Your new role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will involve planned maintenance (PPM) and 'breakdown' activities across their site. The maintenance team consists of 4 engineers including this new role. You'll carry out a range of installation and maintenance work in line with relevant IEE and British standards, to an agreed work schedule. You'll have experience with electrical fault finding, testing and rectification as part of both planned and reactive maintenance. You'll be working to and understanding electrical drawings. You'll be able to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. You'll install and maintain three phase and single phase control gear for motors, pumps, fans and continuous production plant equipment. Working on a double days (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) Monday to Friday. Overtime is offered as well.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer (ideally HNC or above) with experience in a manufacturing environment. Ideally you will hold 17th edition. You need to be computer literate with previous experience on a CMMS. As this maintenance team is relatively small you will need to be a big team player, no job is too small! This role is on double days working Monday to Friday. Overtime is offered on the weekends, however this is optional.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £30,000 per annum inclusive of shift allowance, overtime will then be offered at time and a half. You will have the chance to progress quite quickly with additional funding support towards qualifications, which will lead to an increase in your remuneration. You'll have the full support and guidance from your Supervisor whilst you find your feet.
