VEHICLE TECHNICIAN (Level 2 or above)
3 years’ experience working as a technician within a car dealership or Large Independent experience is essential

Salary £21k to £24k Plus OTE (Salary is depending on experience)

Our client is seeking and experienced Technician who will have previous experience in a similar role and strong teamwork skills. MOT qualification would be preferred, however, we will pay for the right person to be fully trained!

A large part of the Technician position involves:

Understand what work has been agreed to through analysing work orders and assessing the accuracy of the diagnosis
Ensure vehicle safety standards have been complied with when returned to customers
Ensure any faults have been reported and noted on the job cards
Accurately complete work orders to include details of repairs completed, parts required and labour to be charged
Inform the service advisor and parts department if a part needs to be ordered
Ensure vehicles are protected and kept clean during service and repair
Ensure the security of all property
Maintain tools, equipment and other tools and check the condition and calibration of workshop equipment in line with company policy
Ensure all work completed is to MoT and Manufacturers safety standards
Test vehicles and provide diagnostic reports to the workshop controller/service manager
Interpret and implement technical service instruction data
Conduct routine service work on all vehicles brought into the workshop
Perform technical repair work in accordance with established and documented procedures
Record all hours and material usage accurately
Explain directly to the customer the vehicle problem and the corrective action taken where required
Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards
