Chartered Building Surveyor
One of the UK’s leading suppliers of oil and environmental services, with a nationwide customer base and world-leading capabilities are currently looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor to be based in their office in Droitwich.
You will manage and plan all costs associated with any Flood projects as so required, from outset until completion. The essence of the role is to promote the delivery of the best possible job at the best possible price. The role is commercial as well as practical elements of operational delivery.
The role attracts a broad remit of duties and works, and the postholder is required to exercise commercial, strategic and operational acumen. This post carries a high level of responsibility and as such the postholder must demonstrate a continued commercial and operational awareness whilst promoting the success of the division and Company.
You will be required to working as part of a team, participating in all tasks associated with a flood project.
You must be able to complete from start to finish flood risk assessment to a high professional standard
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
·Support all operations and business development teams across the entire Company
·Complete flood risk assessments to an industry standard
·Undertake internal and external site visits, meeting with colleagues and clients in the interest of developing internal and external relationships and supporting pursuance of Company business.
·Plan, diarise and attend client/customer meetings as and when required and when commercial, strategic and operational 'value added’ can be achieved by such meeting.
·Complete technical reports to a high standard
·Manage and support area surveyors and related team members
·Manage projects and/or mulit-disciplinary teams
·Continually updating knowledge and experience of any initiative and/or developments in the industry in which the Company may be deployed or may impact on the Company’s ability to deploy. The postholder is expected to advise the Company of such development and assist with contingency planning to protect and develop the Company.
·Work alongside any colleague and support them in any training that maybe required
·Undertake timely and fact based feasibility studies and is prepared to provide report and presentation to key stakeholders in relation to such study.
·Undertake risk analysis evaluations and prepare easily read reports in relation to findings.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Excellent industry knowledge and experience.
- Experience having worked with domestic property market
- Must possess current RICS qualification
- Good understanding of CDM regulations
- Proven sales success and commercial awareness
