Reporting structure

The Marketing Apprentice will report to the Marketing Manager.


The Marketing Apprentice will:

  • Help with the maintain our social media presence
  • Assist with the creation of innovative learner acquisition campaigns through a variety of mediums and activities
  • Maintain relationships and open communication links acquisition channels
  • Assist with online brand and product campaigns to raise awareness
  • Assist with the promotion of learner find activity
  • Assist with Reception duties covering lunch breaks, holidays and sickness when the Receptionist is not available

The Marketing Apprentice responsibilities are to:

  • Assist with the tracking of conversion rates and data analytics
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data
  • Support with the creation and upload copy and images for websites
  • Measure, and evaluate performance of campaigns
  • Review new technologies and new online media opportunities that may benefit the business, including mobile and social media
  • Maintain marketing databases and assist internal teams with lead generation activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to agree and assist with the creation of landing pages and case studies
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  • Work with the wider Learning Services Marketing Team to ensure that workload demands are being met and ensure effective project collaboration
  • Undertake such other duties compatible with the post as may be required to support the business.


  • A passion and desire for working in a marketing type role
  • Some understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
  • Some previous exposure and usage of social media outlets
  • A willingness to learn about all marketing relating activity including email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • A commitment to and appetite for continuous self-learning and completion of all apprenticeship requirements through to final qualification
