We are currently recruiting for a Land & Partnership Manager role for one of our social housing providers in the Warrington area.

Responsible for identifying and appraising suitable land opportunities for our development programme

  • Ensuring that potential proposals meet the viability parameters and financial hurdles approved by the Board
  • Promote the company in seeking new business opportunities and actively build relationships locally and regionally to promote the brand reputation
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the planning status of LA local plans and 5 year land supply in the LA areas included in the Company`s business strategy
  • Ensure that all records are kept up to date relating to HCA and IMS requirements
  • Lead on detailed negotiations regarding land purchase
  • Secure and agree Heads of Terms for land opportunities via option agreements
  • Establish and manage legal support to enable land purchase
  • Ensure that all key documentation relating to land acquisition is in place
  • Ensure that due diligence is provided in the handover of sites to internal teams

Previous Experience:

  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through extensive and relevant experience within the land acquisition function
  • Experience of both public and private bodies relating to planning and development
  • Experience of working within a development team in a large and complex organisation/function
  • A successful track record of achievement in contributing to the delivery of a development programme in a complex organisation
  • Significant knowledge of the house building industry
  • Track record of contributing to new build development services which have delivered a development programme to achieve business goals
  • Experience of negotiation and procurement of land
