Haig&Co are delighted to be working with this new client, a global giant in multi-site retail and a very well recognised and reputed brand, to identify a superb FP&A Executive Manager to be the support and right hand of the current CFO.

The Role

The FP&A Executive Manager is a critical new role that has been created to ultimately be the successor of the current CFO in 2-3 years time. The role is responsible for the entire life cycle of the financial planning of this 300 store business, from 2 to 5 years.

You will lead the Analysis & MI team within this complex business and be the insight and conscience of the leadership team, providing positive challenges and ongoing support to the strategic aims of the group.

A very commercially focused role, your output and expertise will become central to decision making across the business, driving best practice, effective store growth and sales.

You will be responsible for the financial planning function within the business covering annual budget process, quarterly updates and 5-year planning processes.

You can expect to work very closely with the CFO and CEO pinpointing opportunities and threats to the strategy and work with colleagues to ensure the planning process is robust and transparent across all areas of the company.

A senior leadership role, you will work in tandem with the CFO to support raising of funds/capital and advise in various corporate transactions as they arise.

The Person

You will be a fully qualified Senior Finance Professional (ACA/ACMA/ACCA), with recent, tangible experience of operating at a senior, executive level within a truly fast paced, changing business that ideally operates in the multi channel retail space.

Your skills and abilities will be oriented around strong financial planning experience, supporting the Board on all strategic and commercial plans.

From a character point of view, you will be able to naturally engage with senior and executive stakeholders, building credible and long lasting relationships that impact positively the direction of the business and plans.
