Corporate Finance Manager - Band 8A (£46,433 to £54,439 pa, inclusive of London weighting)
We are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s leading Foundation Trusts and teaching hospitals. Due to transformational changes within the Finance team, a requirement for a Finance Manager has arisen. The Finance Manager will be the key post between the Corporate Services and the rest of the finance team, providing strategy and support to General Managers within that clinical area. The Finance Manager will be supported by a Directorate support, who will help out with some of the more transactional duties.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing financial information, advice and support to the corporate directorate, meeting regularly with the members of the management team to ensure that the financial position is understood
- Providing the Head of Financial Performance and Decision Support with the relevant information so that assurance can be gained that all relevant costs, income and financial risks within the directorate are reported
- Leading, planning and coordinating the annual budget setting process for the directorate
- Developing and implementing new financial processes to ensure that the division works in a smooth and effective manner
The successful applicant will be a CCAB finalist or qualified accountant and will come from the NHS, wider public or commercial sectors. You will have thorough experience of financial management and experience of managing small teams and challenging stakeholders. Excellent relationship building skills are essential and you must demonstrate the ability to communicate highly complex financial issues to non-finance managers.
