We are currently recruiting for a Development Design and Technical Co-ordinator role for one of our social housing providers in the Warrington area.

  • Delivery of technical and design requirements during the pre-development and construction phase
  • Liaise with and work closely with a range of internal stakeholders including Finance Business Partner, Asset Management, and Legal staff members
  • Responsible for coordinating all technical/design related matters
  • To ensure cost effective design and technical solutions which will enable the new business acquisition team to be competitive at bidding stage
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines and a variety of on-going projects through workload planning, time management and delegation
  • Handover technical and design information to the project delivery team to ensure smooth transition of all project details
  • Provide an Architect`s brief to ensure a design engineered solution whist maintaining an attention to detail which will enhance product value
  • Work with Contractors to ensure best value solutions, manage road and sewer adoptions, statutory undertakers and practical completion
  • Deliver a standard range of house types to meet the growth objectives of the group, to include a private rented model, extra care and dementia care product
  • Drive down lifecycle costs working with the property team
  • Support the project delivery team to deliver to programme and budget, to maximise project efficiencies
  • Provide a clear leadership that builds an environment that is based on trust, mutual respect, integrity, where everyone takes accountability and responsibility at the same time as working together as one team
  • To ensure that all records are kept up to date relating to HCA and JV North requirements

Previous Experience:

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through extensive and relevant experience within the development function
  • Relevant degree qualification - HNC, Architectural technician and/or Engineering or similar
  • Experience in the construction market, working with house builders, registered providers or main contractor
  • Track record in delivering a development operational service which have resulted in measurable business benefits
  • Experience of working within a development team in a large and complex organisation/function
  • Successful track record of achievement in contributing to the delivery of a development programme in a complex organisation
  • Evidence of delivering good practice in business partnering models to support business needs
