Director of Education Technology and Innovation
The role holder will lead an innovation team across multiple locations in the UK and mainland Europe, focusing on a series of innovative projects that will result in the development of new products and services in education technology. In order to deliver this initiative, the role holder will motivate and direct a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuous academic support and dedicated human resource to individual start-ups over the initial acceleration period.
The director will be responsible for curating the entire development processes of start-up initiatives from need identification, throughout the development cycle to launch.
The role requires frequent travel both in the UK and internationally.
5+ years management experience, ideally in a multi-national environment.
Proven leadership experience in the education technology field (LMS, PaaS/SaaS, content development).
First-hand working administrator-level knowledge of key current sector platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas) and MOOC course design and implementation.
Fluent command of written and spoken English language, and at least one other language; additional languages a plus.
Team player with proven ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
Experience working in a regulated industry setting (financial services, healthcare).
