If you have a administration background and some of experience of working within a buying / purchasing team then this is the job for you.

Our client is offering the right candidate the opportunity to grown and progress within a buying department.
The role will suit individuals who are proactive, have a willingness to learn, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to build a rapport with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have an analytical approach to problem solving, be self-motivated and organised with strong communication skills; written, in person and over the telephone. Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work unsupervised to meet set deadlines.


*Effectively assist the Global Sourcing teams in all aspects of their work with particular focus on; Quotations, Specification and Sample management
*Product data management
*Maintaining specification sheets for new products to a high level of accuracy
*Supplier liaison and general administration
*Some negotiation of cost prices for products in support of the sales and marketing teams
*Identifying opportunities to improve administration processes
*Day to day support of supplier requests for data
*Reporting/ administrative support of the Head of Global Sourcing as required

Skills :
*Excellent communication skills
*Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite especially Excel is essential
*Have a positive 'can do' and proactive attitude
*Have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
*Take directions well, and follow processes
*Work well on their own and as a part of a team
Previous experience and a proven track record in a similar role could be advantageous for this position but not essential. You will need to be an enthusiastic person capable of working under pressure and would suit someone looking to develop a career in purchasing.
