This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the leaders in the UK Defence industry. The company is looking for a Senior Commercial Manager who has experience within an MOD environment.

To provide Commercial guidance to the Business Unit Management Team plus leadership of the Commercial Staff within that Business unit.
To ensure that the risks, liabilities and commitments of Contractual Agreements that the relevant enters into are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates such risks liabilities and commitments.
All Contracts should aim to balance risk and potential profitability.

*Prime Commercial responsibility for the Business Unit, including delivery of the Operational aspects of the business
*Lead the relevant Commercial function allocating workload, setting objectives and ensuring communication across the Business Unit
*Lead negotiations on contractual terms and conditions with new and existing customers to minimise liability
*This will include involvement in pricing strategies and taking into consideration the customer needs and business requirements in order to maximise profit margins
*Work alongside the Business Unit VP, Directors, and other Management team members to identify opportunities and create business strategies
*Address all liability issues affecting the Business Unit operations as they arise, to the satisfaction of the Legal Counsel and Executive Committee, this includes compliance with export control regulations
*Develop and maintain a good working relationship with customers (internal and external) and strategic subcontractors. Identify approaches and alliances, which will bring business benefits to. Build a rapport with key players in each community. Look for future opportunities wherever possible

Minimum HNC/HND in a business/finance related subject. Ideally the incumbent should hold a degree, with extensive experience in this field.
