Head of Marketing / Marketing Manager - Financial Services - Hertfordshire

Our client is a leading financial services provider specialising in secured lending solutions. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Head of Marketing / Marketing Manager to spearhead their marketing strategy to generate relevant and cost-effective new and repeat business enquiries for the Company.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to shape the marketing department and put your own stamp on it. The successful individual must be experienced in both traditional marketing and digital marketing techniques. Having previous experience of managing marketing budgets and projects is essential.

You will be responsible for the planning and execution of the marketing strategy and the delivery, maintenance and management of all marketing activity. All activity will adhere to relevant advertising standards and be compliant with all FCA regulations.

You will use a range of marketing channels and media, with a strong focus on digital.

The successful candidate must have previous campaign management experience, including digital campaigns, budget controls, cost of acquisition etc.

Main responsibilities:

Improving the usability, design, content and conversion rate of the Company website
Analysis and optimisation of organic search performance of the Company website
Implementation, analysis and optimisation of paid search and display marketing campaigns
Implementation, analysis and optimisation of email marketing activities
Implementation, analysis and optimisation of outreach activities (e.g. social media, publication of internal and external content, link-building)
Implementation, analysis and optimisation of traditional marketing activities
Develop, maintain and communicate the Company brand and values
Coordinate with central IT to ensure a robust disaster recovery process is in place for the Company website and all other software and hardware for which you are responsible
Use a range of marketing channels to deliver excellence in customer relationship management (including, but not restricted to, regular e-newsletters and appropriate social media interaction)
Analyse and provide weekly / monthly marketing metrics and lead status reports
Use appropriate industry tools to monitor and inform improvement of the organic performance of the website (e.g. webmaster tools, analytics, backlink analysis)
Review new marketing technologies and trends and keep the Company at the forefront of developments, with an emphasis on paid and organic search (especially Google Algorithm updates)
Ensure all content and messaging is clear, fair and not misleading and that it is up to date and relevant to the end user.
Inform and support your colleagues within the marketing team, to ensure each member of the team understands their obligations towards each marketing channel and activity

Experience required:

Minimum 3 years previous experience in a senior marketing role essential.
Tangible and provable generation of cost effective paid search, email and display advertising leads essential.
Tangible and provable results for good Google rankings advantageous.
Experience and proven results in traditional marketing techniques advantageous.
CIM qualified preferred
Google Analytics IQ / AdWords Certified qualifications desirable but not essential.
Experience of the financial services lending industry preferred.
