ESSENTIAL

1. At least 2 years experience of working within the Hospitality/Catering sector in a fast paced environment and within a managerial position

2. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and/or relevant qualification in Hospitality/Catering

3. Proven experience in managerial role within the Hospitality/Catering sector

4. An excellent level of IT experience to include Word, Excel, and Outlook

5. Ability to positively lead and motivate a successful team

6. Experience of cash handling

7. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

8. To be flexible and adaptive regarding systems, working hours and locations

9. Ability to effectively communicate and have a good rapport with customers

10. Ability to deliver against budgets and strategy, including sales growth through effective promotion and marketing

11. Previous experience of working with a People Management System and a Food and Beverage System including stock management and ordering

12. Previous experience of managing Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures within a food establishment

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1. Assist the HR department in the recruitment of staff (customer service staff, fryers and management)

2. Report to Operations Manager/Director on sales and business performance

3. Accountable for strategy of the site

4. Accountable for the quality of customer service activities and staff competence in order to optimise and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction. Report any concerns to relevant departments so additional training/support can be implemented

5. Fully accountable for budgets, spend and overheads

6. Fully accountable for ensuring that actions and targets set during weekly management meetings and strategy review meetings are achieved within timescales

7. Report on and deliver against P&L

8. Plan, forecast and complete rotas on a daily basis taking into account budgets and manning levels

9. Import daily sales on cash management

10. Create rotas 3 weeks in advance and tackle any staffing issues

11. Place orders to all suppliers including requisitions based on forecast and to include amount adjustments for suppliers

12. Responsible for inputting end of the night waste figures

13. Complete weekly stock take of food items and disposables

14. Standard of frying to meet Company standard (frying assessment required) including cook to order items, takeaway and restaurant trade

15. Honest and transparent style of management and the ability to build trust within their team Job Description General Manager

16. Overall understanding of service times/bain marie consistency/cleanliness during service/availability of product through fryers

17. Supervise and positively lead a team of customer service and kitchen staff

18. Assist in the training of new starters up to Company standards and implement company policies and family values

19. Liaise with all departments at Central Support on issues relating to maintenance, health and safety, marketing and POS, staffing issues, staff development and training

20. Open and close the site successfully. This means having a very good understanding of the morning prep and close down procedures

21. To ensure weekly forecasting is complete (food, beverage and consumables/disposables)

22. Ensure all Tasty Choice requisitions are approved for weekly pack

23. Oversee and manage cleanliness of the entire site, including equipment 24. Ensure all weekly pack paperwork is completed and sent to the Central Support office. This includes: food temperature checks, fridge temperature checks, potato stock control, forecast, wastage, cleaning checklist, fire marshal checklist, bain marie flow cup test, etc.

25. Attend weekly management team meetings

26. Availability to attend site if an intruder alarm is activated outside of working hours (shared between each member of the management team) and then liaise with the Health and Safety/Operations department on any outstanding issues
