Executive Housekeeper. The Executive Housekeeper directs and controls all housekeeping operations and the staff of the housekeeping department. He/she has to coordinate between housekeeping crews in order to inspect assigned areas and to ensure standards.
·Ensures that the quality and cleanliness of every room is met or exceeded prior to a hotel guest entering a room.
·Coordinating the department to ensure the standards of met and the rooms and public areas are always spotless.
·contributes to guest comfort and ensures the daily cleaning and tidying of all the hotel bedrooms and any public areas.
Summary of Duties:
·Planning the work for the housekeeping department and distributing assignments accordingly.
·Overseeing and directing the cleaning activities, both day and night shifts, rooms and public areas, as well as the refuse room according to the Company Standards.
·Training new employees according to the Hotel’s policy in terms of Health and Safety Procedures.
·Training employees on the Hotel’s standards of service.
·Maintaining a lost properties log.
·Maintaining par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform and organize inventories.
·To ensure routine maintenance is carried out in your areas of responsibility, reporting any damage and wear and tear, ensuring bedroom faults are rectified promptly.
·To ensure all charges are raised for laundry and dry cleaning services, where appropriate.
·Delivering a personalized turndown service.
·Ensuring the service delivered respects the guests’ privacy.
