Sales Manager - Luxury high-quality products for the hospitality sector

Our client designs and makes high-end luxury products for the hospitality industry, using the highest standards of craftsmanship. They pride themselves on the quality of their products and service, selling to high end hotels, retail and restaurant groups globally. They are a recognised international brand with distribution in over 20 countries, and manufacturing in the UK, the Czech Republic and the Far East.

Our client is currently looking for an individual who has an acute appreciation of quality and experience of the luxury brand sector, to be their Sales Manager, and as such, an ambassador for their products. You will play a significant part in continuing to grow this high end design business, being an ambassador and advocate of all it stands for. You will be working in a business that exudes quality and luxury, where the craftsmanship involved in creating the products and the associated high standard of customer service delivers competitive differentiation.

About the role

In this role you be responsible for running our clients’ Sales Process through the management, encouragement and day-to-day support of the Field Sales & Management of the In-House Sales Teams. Your main goal will be to ensure that the team achieves its Sales and Revenue targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. You will have a team of 7 In-House Sales Representatives reporting to you and 5 Globally based Field Sales team members, who will not report directly to you, but collaboration with them will be essential. You will report to the Director of Sales.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Lead, coach and support your direct reports in new business calls, direct to property meetings, account planning, and distributor support.

Deliver the Sales revenue and profit targets via your Sales Team. Executing the business plan to drive sales & profit by setting clear objectives and targets and meeting regularly to measure their progress.

Provide energy and focus to the team daily and keep them on track to hit their targeted goals.

Create a Fun, Competitive & Rewarding environment for the team to operate within.

Maximise Key Account growth from the key accounts in the portfolio and through the Sales Team.

Ensure sales team maintains accurate records of all business sales and transactions being pursued (in CRM databases & software - e.g. Clarity Go).

Manage the Regional Teams (in-house + FS) weekly sales pipeline meetings to present sales data & determine next steps to develop the market in the region.

Support all interfacing Commercial and functional roles to enable them to deliver their business targets.

Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing on all enquiries while striving to maintain maximum profit margins.

Have the flexibility to incorporate high value or potential customers into your portfolio - usually leads brought in from the MD or Commercial Director.

Support the organisation and attend trade shows (if required) that your customers may be attending and encourage their attendance if our client is exhibiting.

Be an ambassador for our client’s brand, promoting its values and product range to its fullest potential in a competitive global marketplace.

Provide product feedback to the design team to enable continuous improvement in product improvement and design.

Forecast - work with your accounts and distributor network and our client’s operations to develop a product forecast, by customer or distributor and by month.

About you:

You will be passionate about quality products and luxury brands and understand the importance of providing immaculate levels of service to clients and their guests.

You will have 5-8 years Sales Team Management Experience ideally within the high-end hospitality or retail industry - hotels, restaurants or retail.

You will have CRM Management Experience (ideally Carity Go), be organized and focused, to ensure that all information is added and linked within our client's CRM system.

You must be HIGHLY organised and efficient so that no leads are missed and clients are taken through the sales process as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

You must be adept at coaching - so that your team receives continuous sales training, enabling the building of a confident, effective sales engine.

You will have proactive selling skills, taking pride in presenting the brand professionally, convincingly and with integrity.

You will have strong negotiation skills and the ability to train your team to propose and deliver solution sales within the client’s requirements.

You will be Personable, with gravitas and with great presentation skills so that you can naturally find and interact with key customer decision makers within the 5-Star and Luxury Goods Hotel and Restaurant Industry.

You will be Self-Managing & Driven so that you go the extra mile to achieve all sales, profit and business targets.

You will be a natural Networking and Relationship Builder with the ability to find and build long term relationships within the hospitality industry.

You must be a collaborative team player, able to work across all functions to achieve sales and business goals.

You must have great Communication and Presentation Skills to inform the business for:

Planning & Forecasting

Sales agreements

Implementation plans

Excellent Microsoft Office user skills - especially Excel

This is an exciting opportunity for an Individual with passion for high end luxury goods and excellent sales management experience. The role will be based at their UK office in London and will be full-time.

Salary - £40-£45 + commission + pension
