As Places for People grows we are looking for an Assistant Project Worker to join our team in Bristol within Mental Health. Reporting into the Project Lead you will work with others to ensure our residents receive guidance, support and assistance with their move into permanent housing. This is a fixed term contract covering a period of maternity until October 2017.

What your role will be

As an Assistant Project Worker you will assist and support the Tenant Support Officer (TSO) in delivering a service to our customers. You will be required to accompany customers to appointments, keep clear records and assist the TSO to develop Service Plans. 
Ensuring residents get the support they need is vitally important, you will work with the internal team and external agencies to monitor and review an individual’s needs and service provision.
You will ensure all administration is up to date on a daily basis to make sure service deliver can be maintained. You are also expected to work in the community with customers in their own tenancies.
In order to aid your own development you will carry out training development activities as identified and agreed in consultation with your manager.

Your background

To be considered for this role you will need experience in a similar environment, ideally with vulnerable adults with mental health related issues. A general understanding of safeguarding would be beneficial. You would benefit from a good local knowledge and an understanding of applying policies, procedures and best practice, this will also include knowledge of property and housing legislation. 
With a centralised base you will spend a significant portion of your week travelling around the community therefore you will need means of mobility whether it be a driving license, a passion for cycling or being happy to utilise public transport.
