The Bunk is a busy 'wine focused’ Inn with a 2 rosette 60 seater restaurant and 9 beautifully decorated bedrooms, situated in Curridge on the outskirts of Newbury.
We are currently looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our busy, expanding team. We serve seasonal, tasty, freshly prepared food, showcasing the best of British food the local area has to offer. Simon Laurence, our talented Head Chef who has previously worked under Marco Pierre White, is given the freedom to cook what he wants, when he wants and as part of that team - you too could help design inspiring original menus for all occasions and seasons.
Key duties include:
- Responsible for supporting the Sous Chef and the running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Working in/ managing a team of 5
- Management of food revenue and health & safety.
You will bring fresh ideas, a real 'can do’ attitude and a passion to deliver exceptional food - every time. If you have a steady and reliable track record in the kitchen, are happy working under pressure and have a positive thinking, no problem approach to working in a Kitchen - then we could be the ideal company for you.
We are offering a generous salary, up to £22,000 dependant on experience and background with an additional significant payment of tips. Accommodation is also available.
Opportunities are also available for a Chef de Partie to join this busy kitchen team.
