Business Development/Telemarketing Executive - Travel


Portman Clarity was created by the merger of Portman and Clarity Travel Management in November 2016, and is a global, multi award winning, UK top 10 Travel Management Company.

Due to an exciting year of growth we are now looking for a Business Development Executive to join the team. Reporting in to our Telemarketing Manager this will be an office based role and will support our sales team by pre-qualifying new business leads.

As part of this role you will;

  • Contact key decision makers and schedule meetings for our sales team
  • Make around 40 outbound calls per day
  • Ensure that our Business Development Managers have an even share of appointments
  • Maintain daily statistics of call rates, and call outcomes
  • To pitch at decision maker level and convert to 4, or as agreed, qualified appointments per week.
  • Offer exceptional levels of customer service and build rapport to engage new business prospects

To be successful in this role we are looking for a motivated individual with;

  • Telesales experience
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent organisation and Time Management Skills
  • A professional telephone manner
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience of using different databases to source data to call
  • The ability to build relationships
  • Active Listening skills
