Are you good at phone based sales, but would like to join a company that looks after its people?  Has career opportunities?  And you are selling a product you quite like which is a little different?

We are recruiting for a training company, and asked the above questions to the hiring manager (your new boss).  She told us the product you are selling, you are not actually selling (?) – The company advertise and recruit apprentices for UK businesses for free, at no cost, as they receive funding from the government to do this.  The aim is to get 16 – 24 year olds into work, and to find them opportunities with ambitious businesses.  Your role is to connect with companies over the phone to talk them through how the scheme works, and set up an appointment for one of the field sales team to meet them. 

A lot of this will be over the phone via cold calling, but you will also utilise mail shots and social media.
 We also asked the manager if they look after their staff.  She said that for the last 5 years they have won awards via the Best Company list for being a great employer, achieving a placement on the Sunday Times Top 100 list.  Additional to this, most of their senior leaders were promoted from within.  The company has been expanding quite rapidly in the last 12 months, so people are more than happy to apply for new roles at the company to develop.
