A maternity cover role for an experienced School Office Manager has become available in an ‘Outstanding’ SEND school. This role would also see you as acting PA to Head of a busy SEND School that works with learners with social, emotioal mental health and behavioural issues (SEMH/SEBD).

As the new School Office Manager, you will be pleased to know that they are entering an exciting new phase in its development. The school are therefore either seeking a highly skilled administrative officer who is keen to progress into the role of School Office Manager which will bring with it PA Responsibilities to the Head of School. Or an experienced Office Manager who has been employed in a similar role.
The successful School Office Manager applicant will manage a small team of staff and be the first point of contact in the main for schools and other stakeholders. If you have enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to work within a busy SEMH/SEBD school supporting some of the most vulnerable and complex young people in our community, we would welcome your application. As the School Office Manager, you will be under the direction of the Head of School who you will give secretarial support to. As Office Manager you will be responsible for the delegation of secretarial support to administrative staff within the team for other manager tasks as required. Specific School Office Manager responsibilities include managing the school office in order to maintain an efficient and purposeful environment. As the Office Manager, you will oversee the provision of reception cover, the creation and maintenance of accurate and confidential records. You will also undertake financial control procedures to ensure Best Value is obtained on the school’s behalf. As Office Manager you will use strategies to reduce bureaucracy and always ensure the administrative support staff are appropriately manage and trained to meet the needs of the school.
