Our client is a leading multi-discipline construction and property consultancy. They provide a definitive range of services to the UK building and construction industry covering Chartered Building and Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Architecture and Master Planning, Civil & Structural Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Sustainability and Health and Safety.

They are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their busy and vibrant surveying team in the heart of London.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor should be professionally motivated and enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work. They should pay attention to detail, demonstrate aptitude for numeracy and a good command of the English language. The candidate is expected to be smart and presentable, have a courteous manner with an organised and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities:-

-Microsoft Office (Word documents, proficient with the use of Excel spreadsheets, etc)
-Analysis of accounts and contractor applications for payment
-Analysis of labour and materials components of pricing / quotations
-Aptitude for learning about financial schedules and accounts
-Measurement programmes eg Dimension X
-Research upon specific projects using internet and intranet (DMS) / trade Reference e-sites
-JCT Contracts Digital Service software
-Familiarity with AutoCAD
-Use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc)

Education, skills and experience:-

-Degree Qualified - Quantity Surveying
-Working toward Chartered Status - RICS
-Good level of numeracy and IT skills MS Office, Word Excel etc
-Strong team player
-Self motivated and able to communicate with people at all levels
-Able to liaise directly with seniors and follow instruction where necessary
