Responsibilities…

As the Head of Sales - EMEA & NAM you will be responsible for managing all targeted account management and new business development sales activity within the EMEA & NAM regions. This includes, but is not restricted to, all Events, Media, Awards and Research propositions. You will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve and exceed the overall revenue target, working closely with the CCO, Conference Production, Marketing and Event Operations to ensure that the clients business objectives are met.   • Consistent delivery of the monthly and annual EMEA & NAM sales targets, working in tandem with Conference Production, Marketing and Operations to profitability targets are met.
  • Leadership and management of the sales team (based in London and North America) with a clear focus on coaching and performance management
  • Setting out the objectives and KPI’s for the sales team and actively managing the team against these
  • Being actively involved in the sales team’s activity -sales planning, prospecting, sales calls, face-to-face meetings, customer service, etc.
  • Ensuring effective account management is in action across the team - defending and developing revenues from existing clients
  • Working with marketing and the sales team to drive new business campaigns with the aim of winning new (logo) clients
  • Promote knowledge sharing and team work as the best way to achieve our sales goals

Required Experience

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with significant B2B experience
  • Experience in IT / technology industry, ideally from conference or publishing organisation
  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team
  • Proven experience in coaching and developing sales teams (group training sessions)
