Role: Technical Service Engineer

The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Technical Service Engineer to work within our clinical engineering/logistics department as a result of winning new business. In this role, the successful candidate would be involved with the servicing, calibration and repair of our range of medical devices but will also assist and provide cover for the role performed by our Logistics Administrator in the processing of orders and dispatching of goods to clients.
It is envisaged that over time the role will become more engineering focused as the successful candidate becomes more capable in the role and the business grows and requires additional staff to deal with the administration and logistics workload.

The role will be initially office based

In addition product specific training course attendance may require occasional travel overseas (within the EU).

The candidate must be able to work as part of a team and be able to show proficiency in IT skills including word processing, data entry along with the ability to follow servicing instructions in a diligent and professional way.

We do expect you to have experience or a demonstrable interest in electronic or equipment servicing and be practically minded.

We feel that the role would either suit someone starting out in his or her career or someone that is looking to retrain in a different industry to provide a more stable career.

Applications will be assessed against the following key criteria as part of the assessment process
- Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Clinical engineering qualification to minimum of ONC level (HNC desirable)
- At least 2 years experience of working with servicing electronic equipment (any clinical products an advantage but not essential)
- Reliable hard working individual with a good work ethic and the ability to follow technical instructions/manuals and keep records with a high attention to detail.
- Be able to demonstrate how they a have been self motivated and have learnt new skills and then put them to use.
- Able to work under their own initiative making sound engineering based decisions where required.
- Positive solution focused attitude
- Good communication skills, written, oral and IT
- Full, clean driving license.
- Located within commutable distance to Worksop
- Be able to pass pre-employment screening checks to confirm identity, rights to work in the UK, criminal records checks, confirmation of academic/professional qualifications

Salary range £23k-£25k depending on experience

Working hours Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (Full time permanent role)
23 days paid holiday excluding UK bank holidays with fixed days to be taken between Christmas and New Year
