Business Development Manager - FMCG
Highly successful and very well-known large international multi-site food manufacturer. Operating in many food categories and supplying many types of customers. Quality, innovation and customer service have always been priorities. Having such a diverse range of products including fresh, frozen and chilled gives them a real edge in the market place.
This is a real hunter role totally focused on new business within National Account customers mainly within the profit sector which could include leisure groups, horeca, and pub groups amongst other channels. You will get support from the sales management team, NPD, Production, Technical, Marketing and other departments to ensure success. Ideally you will come from a foodservice/catering type background.
Working with both the Sales & Marketing Teams to drive sales.
Maximise presence across the foodservice sector. Identify short, medium and long term customer targets and work on plan to convert them.
Fully accountable for delivering sales and profit targets as well as meeting all agreed KPIs.
Be able to write and work on tenders effectively.
Report monthly prospect list and successes to date.
An experienced Account Manager that has proven track record of selling food at HO level within foodservice/profit and cost sector is essential.
Proven track record of growing and developing accounts.
Be a focused self-starter that thrives on winning new accounts.
Good level of understanding of category management.
Someone that has strong negotiation skills.
