My clients are a Award winning Accountancy Practice based in the South of Cambridge. They are expanding significantly and are looking for a Trust Assistant to work with the newly developed Trust department.
Prepare accounts and self-assessment tax returns for a range of trusts and deceased estates with the minimum of supervision. ?
Prepare Inheritance Tax returns for periodic and exit charges. ?
To assist with the preparation of probate application papers to include the collation of information required to support the application. ?
Provide ad-hoc administrative services to trustees e.g. arranging payments to beneficiaries, settlement of third party invoices and tax liabilities. ?
Motivate and provide on the job training to the trust junior.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience working in trusts and ability to manage own progress through workflow system.
Experience in the following is desirable:
Completion of all aspects of the trust tax and accountancy file.
Preparation of year end accounts and associated tax returns.
Delivery of client work to meet Trustees' or HMRC deadlines.
Advise on tax issues where competent to do so, and refer to Supervisor, Manager, Partner, Tax Consultancy where appropriate.
Ability to develop good working relationships with clients and team members.
Training and many progression opportunities for the right individual.
