Reed Finance Liverpool are working with a growing and profitable industry leader, to add an ambitious and commercial Business Finance Controller in to their high calibre team.

This is a key position within the finance department, acting as a key contact and Business Partner to all stakeholders in the site, taking ownership and ultimately ensuring significant impact is made across the business.

Based in Liverpool, they are a well established name within the industry, and part of a larger worldwide group. Reporting to a high calibre Finance Director, the Business Controller will be a dynamic and motivated individual, with the aim of working in a cross functional teams with real exposure to business decision making. This is the perfect opportunity to gain a broad insight into the business, with the view to making further career progression within the group.

The Business Controller will undertake the following roles and responsibilities ;

· Independently manage, analyse and report on the full Planning and Control Cycle (Budget, Rolling Forecast, Period end Closes, Strategic Analyses and Cost prices)
· Proactively and independently monitor and analyse monthly operating result against Budget and Latest Estimates, leading to identification of Risks and Opportunities, associated with necessary action plans
· Fulfil Business Partner role to cross functional Departmental Managers
· Manage relationships with stakeholders
· Prepare financial analysis for investment decisions, developing scenario calculations and contributes to site master plan
· Independently manages/drives Financial Projects and is business partner in (multi-disciplinary) projects
· Analyse business results & practices and based upon findings propose changes and improvements by facilitating key stakeholders.

The outstanding candidate will be fully ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong track record across management accounting & reporting, demonstrable experience in a dynamic and challenging environment where cost targets are tight. You will have a “best in class” outlook, and ideally hold experience within Manufacturing.
