We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Assistant Curriculum Leader of KS3 Science to join our popular and oversubscribed STEM specialist academy. This newly established post is an exciting opportunity for an existing or aspiring middle leader who is passionate about Science and specialises in Biology preferably.

Science teachers at UCL Academy plan and teach a curriculum which is both inspiring and engaging and includes elements of cutting edge research. Our links with University College London gives us access to unrivalled University laboratories with specialist equipment. We aim to enrich our students with practical and real-life context self-directed activities. The iGEM competition, Global Experiment, CREST awards, Greenpower Electric Car' competition and Salter's chemistry festivals are encouraged to extend the students beyond the curriculum and give them chance experience 'genuine' science.

The UCL Academy is a growing, mixed 11-19 Academy in the heart of the London Borough of Camden. Opened in September 2012 we will reach full capacity of 1150 students by the autumn term of 2016. "Working at the top of the Good grade" we offer state-of-the-art facilities and the opportunity to work with the latest innovations in classroom technology. We pride ourselves on high academic aspirations and our value added result is the second highest across all schools in Camden, including independent schools. In 2015 our A-level students performed above the national average for A*-C and achieved a 100% pass rate.
