Trainee Media and Event Sales Executive

The Trainee Internal Media Sales Executive role:

This role exists to help suppliers to retailers market their products to a relevant audience by finding them the appropriate advertising solutions and booking meetings for the account managers where appropriate.

  • Establishing new business relationships from a target client list, setting up meetings with AMs
  • Researching and mapping out of target businesses
  • Consulting to find out client requirements
  • Achieving call and revenue targets (targeted on effective calls per week, this is not a boiler room environment!)
  • Being an expert in your market, keeping up to date with knowledge of client's, products and competitors
  • Attending trade shows and events
  • Providing clients with exceptional customer service
  • Attending meetings with appropriate Account Managers and networking with clients where appropriate
  • Collaborating with the rest of the business, sharing customer and market insight

The ideal Trainee Internal Media Sales Executive:

  • Ideally a minimum of 6 months proven track record in sales, attitude is the most important thing we look for
  • A brilliant communicator who loves speaking to people and building relationships
  • Someone that is not scared to get on the phone, an energetic and outgoing go-getter
  • Proactive, organised and target driven
  • An achiever who loves being tenacious in the face of setbacks
  • A team player, able to understand the brands and support the rest of the team and enjoy first-choice status that everyone helps to earn every day
