Role: We are currently recruiting a Clinical Psychologist to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Location: Brunel House, Crow Lane, Henbury, Bristol, BS10 7DP.
Salary/Benefits: £50,000- £55,000 (DOE), pension scheme, free staff meals and training and development opportunities.

If yes, this is the role for you! CAS behavioural health is one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities.

Brunel House is a purpose-built 32-bedded unit which will provide an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Neurodegenerative service through 22 rehabilitation beds and 10 neuro degenerative beds to individuals who require specialist therapy-led rehabilitation and support. 22 will have a traumatic or acquired brain injury for example: korsakoffs syndrome, tumour, stroke, encephalitis, hypoxic brain damage and stroke. Patients are likely to have related complex difficulties including; associated mental health problems, challenging behaviour and/or substance abuse difficulties. 10 patients will have neurodegenerative disorders including: dementia, parkinsons, and huntingtons disease. Our service will be focusing on the provision of support required for people to regain their maximum potential for independence, choice, opportunities and quality of life.

Job Role

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological / risk assessments based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests.

You will formulate and implement plans for the psychological treatment and/or management of problems of ABI and neurodegenerative clients based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the clients’ problems and employing methods based upon efficacy.

About You

The successful candidate for this role will be a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist / Neuropsychologist.
Ideally, you will have experience working in brain injury services and have knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised neuropsychological rehabilitation, including ways of working with people with complex disability in an inpatient setting.

The ability to work effectively as a part of a team is key, along with confidence, resilience and motivation. Above all, you will be someone with a genuine desire to help others.

Specific Requirement

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting the people within our care. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
