My Client a dynamic law firm based in the West End of London are looking for a senior paralegal with the ability to manage a team to join their residential conveyancing team. The successful candidate will possess a Law degree or equivalent qualification. This is a really exciting time to join a highly progressive Legal 500 Law Firm.


- Overall responsibility for dealing with all administrative aspects of the firm’s plot sales cases
- Negotiating and concluding missives for plot sales
- Drafting and preparation of relevant legal documents including drafting Deeds of Condition/Development Management Schemes
- Supervision of work of paralegals/junior team members
- Involvement in business development activities linked to the team’s, the department’s and the firm’s strategic plan, in particular the winning of new plot sales work for existing and new clients
- Knowledge of sales incentive schemes (such as Help to Buy and equity sharing arrangements)
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with housebuilder clients
- Liaise with both borrower’s solicitors and bank
- Amending standard form security documentation to tailor to each matter
- Producing regular reports to supervisor
- Completion of standard form reports on title, initially under supervision of partners
- Registration of charges at Companies House and Land Registry


- Must possess a Law degree or equivalent qualification ILEX/FILEX/CILEX
- Experience of working with conveyancing processes and procedures particularly in the context of plot sales transactions is essential
- Strong customer facing skills
- PC literate and proficient using MS products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload especially under pressure
- Demonstrates a “can do” attitude approaches all work with enthusiasm
- Responsible, flexible and adaptable – ability to work across multiple projects and activities
- Proactive - ability to work alone using your initiative - self-starter
- Strong team player
- Reliability – consistently demonstrates good approach to all work conducted - good time keeper.
- Must have post qualified experience of working in plot sales
- Takes personal responsibility to learn on the job and keep knowledge up to date
