Your New Role - As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the accounts and audit and the oversight and guidance of the 13 Regional Associations through their own Finance Officers. The 13 Regional Associations are autonomous for accounting purposes and are independently audited and your role will be to ensure the Regional Association accounts reflect an accurate position in order to provide an audited consolidated account.
What you'll need to succeed - You will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience and have experience in financial planning (preferably in the public sector) and preparation of monthly and annual accounts including reconciliation with bank statements, resource manager spend and forecasting. You will have the ability to closely track funding/income from receipt, through separate accounts and to properly authorise expenditure. The role will require a diplomatic approach and the successful applicant is likely to have previous experience working in the MOD, Civil Service, Charity or Public Sector.
