Our highly prestigious law firm law firm client is looking for to recruit an Information & Library Assistant to support their Head of Library & Information Services and Information Centre Manager. Key responsibilities for the Information & Library Assistant will be varied and will include:

  • Answering basic enquiries from across the firm - e.g. Companies House searches
  • Carrying out daily press searches
  • Administrative duties such as opening post, maintaining records, filing, shelving, stock-taking and booking meeting room
  • Maintaining the library management system - keeping records accurate and standardised, creating new records, archiving old subscription records
  • Setting up new joiners with logins and access to relevant resources
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the team's SharePoint sites
  • Maintaining enquiry recording database, includes extracting data, running reports
  • Ordering, cataloguing and recording new acquisitions

The ideal candidate for the Information & Library Assistant role will be of graduate calibre and will have excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to manage a busy workload and work to deadlines is essential, along with a confident and proactive approach.
