A great opportunity has arisen with a charity for a Payroll Specialist to join their London based team. You will be reporting into the Payroll and Benefits Manager, EMEA, and you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of payroll processes across all EMEA countries, alongside the employee benefits, welfare and pension provisions in place from time to time

Responsibilities as the Payroll Specialist for this London based, Executive Search firm:

  • Responsibility for the day to day processing of allocated EMEA Payrolls including (but not limited to)the collating and uploading of all payroll adjustments into the payroll solution for each region,
  • Audit and finalisation of all Payroll reports, prior to the submission of such reports to the Finance department for electronic payment uploads in line with agreed deadlines; and liaising with the Finance department to make all relevant payments to local tax authorities, within each EMEA country that a centralised payroll is run
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory labour and finance related laws and regulations
  • Responsibility for ensuring that all new 'joiners' and 'leavers' within EMEA are appropriately added or removed to the relevant country's payroll
  • To act as a designated point of contact and subject matter expert for payroll & benefits related queries submitted by staff, management, the Company's external payroll / benefits providers and any other key stakeholders
  • Support the processing of the Company's Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) including; the monthly deduction of ESPP contributions, reimbursement of ESPP contributions for scheme leavers, calculation of appropriate tax treatment within each EMEA country on ESPP taxable gains and corporate reporting on the scheme
  • Processing of Promissory Notes and Forgivable Loans including; the processing of (in and) out of Payroll payments, arranging for the correct tax treatment of Promissory Notes and Forgivable Loans, and ensuring appropriate repayment where employees leave prior to forgiveness of their Equity Agreements
  • Processing of all non-standard Payroll adjustments across EMEA

Requirements of the Payroll Specialist for this London based role:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EMEA payroll and benefits
  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Relevant experience in relation to SOX compliance
  • Previous experience of utilising HR & Payroll solutions including Dayforce and ADP will be advantageous
