Sewell Wallis are thrilled to be working with a leading law firm based in Manchester City Centre in their search to find a Reconciliation Analyst in this newly created role. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated accountant who is interested in business partnering across various departments throughout a large organisation.

As the Reconciliation Analyst you will bridge the gaps between all the Finance teams and their partners and fee earners. You will have a strong analytical background where you have manipulated financial and operational data in the past and then presented valuable insights through your findings.

Reporting to the Head of Finance your key responsibilities will include:

-Provision of client information to the MI and Operational teams on a monthly basis
-Production of other analysis for clients on an ad-hoc basis
-Regularly extract information from Case Management system, manipulating information into useable formats for analysis
-Timely delivery of annual budgets, including meeting with partners, the COO and the Operations Manager to revise budget models and carry out any further necessary supporting analysis
-Production of monthly management packs and analysis to support understanding of performance
-Identify opportunities to improve inefficiencies within exciting finance team processes
-Occasional travel to London & Edinburgh offices to meet with the UK finance team to ensure sharing of knowledge and consistency of practices
-Designing and implementing a reconciliation process by liaising with relevant stakeholders to understand the detail of the data
-Implementing and maintaining an ongoing monthly reconciliation process

You will ideally be a part or newly qualified accountant and experience working within a legal environment would be highly beneficial. You must have excellent analytical skills and be a strong communicator who can liaise with individuals in different teams and locations.
