Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Housing / Hostel Team Manager for one of London’s most recognisable charities who specialise in the provision of support, guidance and housing for homeless people with complex support needs.

£34,000 per annum

The primary purpose of the Homeless Project is to provide high quality support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for vulnerable homeless people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently in a sustainable way after moving on.

The Team Manager is responsible for the day-to-day housing and support service delivery management of the functions which supports the residents.

The Team Manager is responsible for support staff and residents with complex support needs. You will ensure delivery of excellent housing management and support services to customers living in the accommodation. You will make sure that the project operates within budget and comply with Supporting People requirements as well as all other relevant quality standards.

On a day to day basis this will include:

  • Overseeing all support provided to residents and management of the staff teams
  • Lead in the provision of a high quality accommodation based support service to homeless customers with complex support needs
  • Set clear expectations of quality standards, work plans and targets for staff.
  • Working to build and maintain partnerships with local agencies and community groups
  • Actively involve residents in the running of the project.
  • Monitor income and expenditure and ensure that the project keeps within set targets

To successfully achieve in this role we are now looking for like-minded driven individuals with the necessary experience to take on this new and exciting role.

Suitable candidates will:

  • Experience of leading and managing a housing management or support services operation.
  • Knowledge of the issues facing homeless people and how to meet them
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Quality Assessment Framework
  • Be highly performance driven and financially astute with the ability to set targets and ensure KPI’s are met
  • Understanding of the importance of customer involvement
  • Ability to follow financial procedures and manage budgets
