This dynamic privately owned sports and nutritional products supplier, has created an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and driven FMCG Senior Sales Manager / Sales Director Designate to join the team and help spearhead the next phase in their development.
From humble beginnings, over the last ten years they have grown into one of the biggest distributors of Sports Nutrition in the UK - doubling their multi-million-pound turnover in the last 6 months!

SENIOR SALES MANAGER / SALES DIRECTOR DESIGNATE
SALARY: £40,000 to £48,000 Basic, realistic earnings OTE £80K (uncapped commission), car allowance, fuel card, mobile, laptop.
An equity stake in the company may be offered as you progress to Sales Director.
LOCATION: Based from head office in Paddock Wood, you will ideally be living in Tonbridge or surrounding areas of this beautiful part of Kent, you will be willing to attend exhibitions and visit clients.
As Head of Sales, you will be predominantly office based, reporting directly to the Managing Director, where your primary objective will be to manage all strategic sales activity throughout the UK and Europe, maximising company’s profits.
A key area for growth and expansion is directing sales and distribution into the mass market, including Multi- National Retail Chains, Major Gyms, National Supermarket Chains, Major Online Retailers, and mass market accounts associated to this channel whilst achieving and exceeding targeted revenues within the existing client base of independent retailers, gyms and online retailers.
Your wide range of duties and responsibilities will include:
* Leading, mentoring and developing the current sales team.
* Key market sales penetration, identifying and reaching out to a new potential emerging market.
* Identifying new brands, negotiating with suppliers, and creating the most effective route to market for the company's products.
* Forming an effective sales strategy for the most competitive and innovative brand distribution.
* Engaging with buyers at a senior level, building strong commercial relationships and ultimately, increasing profitable revenues.
* To drive profitable sales growth through existing channels, building strong and rewarding partnerships.
It goes without saying you’ll need to be highly self-motivated, have a strong passion for sales, a "can do" attitude, strong leadership and management skills with a proven record of achievement in term of both personal and team targets.
A background in the sports nutrition industry is not essential, however you will have the ability to work well in a fast-paced, multi-task, branded FMCG environment, with knowledge and experience of the various routes to market, and the ability to negotiate and build long term relationships at the highest levels.
Fluent competence in a second language would be an advantage, although not essential, you will possess strong new business development skills and have an ability to demonstrate sound commercial judgement working in overseas markets.
Your current or previous sales roles may have included: Senior Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, National Account Manager, UK Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, UK Head of Sales, Sales Director, National Field Sales Manager, UK Commercial Manager, FMCG Sales Manager, Health and Fitness Business Development, Regional Field Sales Manager, Channel Account Manager or similar.
